This huge Oregon bed was built for a large room. The 200mm oregon posts were left whole and treated with a natural soap finish to preserve the wonderful rustic character of the the timber. The bed forms a substantial platform around the mattress where you can place a couple books, the clothes for the next day etc. The corner joins are held together with huge hardwood dowels and even the slats were created with recycled timber.
